Greg McKinney Scholarship Program
Established in 2017, the Greg McKinney Memorial Scholarship Program provides support with tuition assistance as our chapter members to pursue their education at an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school.
The scholarship was named in honor of Greg McKinney. Bill and Clara McKinney and their family were active members of the Chapter during its early years, and continue their support today. Their son Greg was born in 1962 and was diagnosed with Severe Hemophilia A. Greg was a graduate of Berkner High School in Richardson, attended Richland College and worked for Sears. Greg was diagnosed with HIV in January of 1987 and passed away March 26, 1989.
It is our hope that the individuals who receive this scholarship support will continue to be part of the chapter and provide leadership and support to the bleeding disorders community in the future.
Other Scholarship Opportunities
There are some wonderful scholarship opportunities available to the hemophilia community both to current and future college students with bleeding disorders.
